The blog offers a tutorial on how to use the new feature, which includes quick and easy ways to add a photo and a swift introduction that explains what a user is looking for.

"Open Grindr," the text instructs. "Tap 'Right Now.' You'll see it in the main navigation, sidebar, or as a new button floating on the grid."

At this point, "You can choose to share a quick line and (if you're feeling bold) a photo that lets others know exactly what you're looking for. If you're not ready to post, you can always browse the feed to see who is ready to meet."

"Connect with people who catch your eye," the instructions add, "or reply to chats from others interested in you."

Once launched, the Right Now feature is active for one hour. 10 hourlong sessions are provided for free for users in cities where the feature is active. Those who need more Right Now time can upgrade to a paid tier for more hours.
