DC's Legends of Tomorrow - The Complete Second Season

-Don't call this team of misfits and outcasts "heroes" -- they are on their way to becoming "legends." The complete second season of the third spin-off series based on the DC Comics characters, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," is now available now on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD. The season set captures all the action of these time-tripping super powered agents as they travel the time-stream to save the multiverse from an unending cadre of evil!

After defeating the mad conqueror Vandal Savage at the conclusion of Season One (at a cost of one of their own), the Legends lick their wounds and prepare to venture into all-new uncharted territory. But no sooner do they prepare to board their ship, "The Waverer," when they are warned by a mysterious ally that if they continue their adventures through history they will be causing more damage than good!

It takes the dedication of historian Nate Haywood (new series regular Nick Zano), who enlists the help of a certain emerald archer, to help put the team back together in time to stop the evil Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) from assembling a legion of doom. The Second Season of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" tests the mettle of this ragtag group, who must prevent any significant anomalies from infecting the natural course of history.

It's easier said than done when time master Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) is lost in space. Now under the leadership of Sara Lance, the White Canary (Caity Lotz), the group must piece together a mystical object that has the power to rewrite all chronology before it falls into the hands of the Reverse-Flash. Along their many misadventures, the Legends battle zombies on the battlefields of the Civil War, gangster on the streets of Chicago 1927, and team up to stop an alien invasion.

The cast on "Legends" has finally begun to gel much better in Season Two, and includes Brandon Routh and veteran actor Victor Garber. Joining the cast for these latest adventures is Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who portrays a "legacy" character, and new favorite Vixen. Dominic Purcell is the team's wildcard, the roguish Heat Wave, who finds himself walking the fence when his longtime partner in crime Captain Cold (played by Wentworth Miller) returns from the grave (so to speak).

"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is packed with all the nonstop action that has become synonymous with The CW network's primetime line-up, and all 17 episodes of Season Two are packed onto three Blu-ray Discs, including some out-of-this world "special features" that will undoubtedly appeal to the most die-hard fan. Take an inside look at what went into creating the epic "Invasion!" super hero crossover event, that brought together casts from "Supergirl," "The Flash" and "Arrow."

The Blu-ray includes additional scenes that never aired, a gag reel, and the 2016 Comic-Con Panel which includes the cast and show's executive producers first introducing the new cast members and delivering some secrets about the upcoming story arc. "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is unique to its contemporaries as it is the first "team" show, a smaller scale "Justice League" if you would that fight their battles all across the space-time continuity -- kicking righteous butt!
