P!nk - The Truth About Love Tour Live In Melbourne
Kevin Taft READ TIME: 1 MIN.
For those Pink fans who missed out on her last world tour, fear not - for behold "Pink: The Truth About Love Tour Live in Melbourne" has arrived on DVD and Blu-ray in all its wondrous glory!
Filmed in Melbourne during her record-setting 18-day engagement, Pink's latest tour is filled with all the fun and spectacle we expect from our snarling blonde darling of pop-rock. But this isn't just a concert for Pink fans. No. People who appreciate technically brilliant stagecraft, dynamic performances, and an all-around "wow" show should really check this out. During the 110-minute film, Pink bounces on a bungee, scales a spinning chandelier while singing her hit "Sober," and literally flies into the audience like a devilish pixie. Not once does her voice falter (even when singing upside down) and her genuine charm with the audience is absolutely engaging. It is truly a dazzling show that I had the pleasure of seeing first-hand, and this is a terrific record of the experience.
Special features include "The Truth About Tour" - a 30=minute documentary that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the show; complete with toddler daughter Willow taking center stage. "A Day in the Life of Rubix" is a faux philosophical musing by Pink's Master of Ceremonies, and finally there is a tongue-in-cheek music video of her song "Slut Like You" (Bluegrass Version) performed by Pink's cast and crew.
